“Travel and Tours – ‘At a Glance’ is aimed to enrich the knowledge for tourists coming to Nepal. Nepal bears a very special natural beauty and magnetic attraction rarely found elsewhere in the world. I have attempted to collect a lot of diverse and specific information on Nepal, gather it together and present in a form which is easy to understand.

Nepal has suffered greatly over the past ten years with the political crises seriously affecting the development of the country. Thankfully in April 2006 the King was overthrown and democracy restored. With a new system in place, and a will to put the past conflict behind, everyone working in the tourist sector is expecting a better future. Some of us will be positively working towards these ends. This book for me is just a start on the road to making better contacts with the world outside of Nepal.

As an independent agent who has worked in tourism for the past nineteen years, I have always been conscientious in my approach. I have also been lucky to have met and worked with many great people from all over the world when handling groups and individuals. My years in tourism have taught me that Nepal is not just about mountains and rivers, great experiences as they are, it is a lot more than that. My country is immersed in culture, color and a sense of life so often lost in the developed world nowadays.
