Jomsom – Muktinath tea house Trek: 18 days Itinerary 10 days trek.

The itinerary is focused on a visit to the temple at Muktinath, a holy pilgrimage site sacred to both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims .Trekking in provides a splendid opportunity to meet with and mix with a variety of ethnic groups, from Gurungs to Thakali and Tibeto Gurungs. The trek also provides some fabulous scenery. From the forested hills north of Pokhara, we travel up to the more desolate region of lower Mustang which is situated at the foot of the Tibetan plateau. Here the land seriously overlooks and still continues to push up, creating some extraordinary rock formations. There are also two fascinating fortress villages to be visited on route. The trek ends in Jomsom with an early morning flight to Pokhara. After returning to Pokhara we continue our journey by raft to Chitwan National Park where we experience a very different cultural and natural setting.
