Ganesh Himal camping Trek: 22 days Itinerary.
The high valleys north of the Ganesh range on the Tibetan border are remote to say the least, the region is only now being developed as a trekking region and then only for camping groups. People of the region are very friendly and accepting of new faces. The trek is not easy and will require a degree of fitness, for those wishing to get away from it all to experience a different pace and attitude to life, this trek provides.
The trail commences from Trishuli bazzar, soon after commencing there is a steep climb up through forest to a ridge where a hidden valley opens up. From here on we are rewarded with some fine trekking in Alpine conditions with some tremendous mountain views. We travel through pine forests and meadows, past flat roofed fortress style settlements, towards our final destination, the district headquarters of Dhading. We camp overnight here before a drive back to Kathmandu the following day . |
