Arun Valley Trekking

Arun valley camping Trek: 22 days Itinerary 12 days camping.

Makalu (8,481m), the fifth highest mountain in the world lies on the Nepal / Tibet border. The trek provides a high mountain feel with sherpa settlements and some outstanding vistas of major peaks to the east of Everest. From Tumlingtar there is a long trek up the Arun River valley past some beautiful farmhouses with colourful vegetation and flowers .Higher up the valley there are some interesting small temples, and gompas along the way. Many different ethnic groups live here in a way not seen in other areas of Nepal. We continue on to Seduwa and Num to cross the Barun La (4110 meters) into the upper Barun Khola Valley for close up views of Makalu (8463 meters) and Chamlang (7317 meters).
