For those people who
wish to stay with Nepalese families instead of hotels
in Kathmandu or Pokhara prior to and after their
tour / trek, paying guest accommodation is available.
These stays are often cheaper, more enjoyable and
an effective way to share feelings / culture and
customs vis to vis a Nepali family and yourself.
It is ideal for students who may be planning some
form of social work in Nepal, Nepali’s are
very friendly, within a day or two you feel at home.
If you are staying in the main urban areas e.g.
Kathmandu and Pokhara you are likely to have access
to your own T.V. with cable channels. Families are
easy going and want you to relax in a Nepali atmosphere
without any youth hostel rules. You are provided
with your own key and you can come and go as you
please. NEC can find you suitable placements for
your stay, we are also on hand if you have any questions
or need information. There is ample time for trekking
or other adventure which can be built into your
